WATER ROCKETRY

Water Rocket a practical design oriented event that requires both skills in fabrication and rocket designing. The participant has to design and fabricate a rocket that is pressure fed using pump that overcomes the aerodynamic resistance.

SCHEME

  • ROUND1

    Range Test
    This is eliminative test, In which the Rocket has to travel a minimum of 100m

  • ROUND2

    The second round is 2D drafting. The participant will have to draft the given 3Dmodel into orthographic views of the component using Autocad 2007 version software.

  • ROUND3

    Stability test
    This round test the stability of rocket.
    Points = Distance + (10*time taken)

Rules

  • 1. 1 – 2.5 litre PET battles must be used.
  • 2. Kits will be provided.
  • 3. Pressure must be 40 – 50 Psi at the time of launch.
    or
    30 secs will be allocated for pressuring the rocket.
  • 4. Judge’s Decision will be final.
